Camping is permitted adjacent to the trail, but campsites must be established at least 30 feet away from the trail center line. This is primitive camping - no amenities.
This trailhead is easy to find. The trail was great. But the day was too hot to go as far as we wanted. I will go back and see a different area next time.
Good trail for Louisiana. Never many people there. Most of the trail is in disarray and portions are swampy. There is no water other than creek water and the valentine lake are is closed.
