From I-20, take US 65 south. From US 65, take LA 128 east to LA 605 north, then to LA 604.
Very nice state park on lake bruin. Lake. Bruin is an oxbow lake on the west side of the Mississippi River across from Natchez, in Louisiana. 35 or 40 camp spots, all with water and electricity, and tent pads. The RV spots away from the lake had sewer hookups. The worst thing about the park is the sewer treatment plant as an electric motor that runs intermittently making a lot of noise. I got used to it, some of the campers didn't. Nice clean, small laundry facility, and restrooms and showers or modern, and clean. Beautiful part
This hidden gem is by far the nicest state park I have stayed in. The freshwater lake is magnificent with it's abundant Cypress trees. The grounds are very well maintained as well as the bathrooms/showers. The RV sites are nice, especially the ones right on the lake. This was originally built as a fish hatchery. Fishing piers, boat rentals and even a well equipped fish cleaning station is available. They also have cabins for rent. I highly recommend this park and a great place for kids offering a splash pad and playground. The staff is very friendly.
This is such a great state park!! Beautiful grounds, big sites, super nice staff, the lake right at your fingertips. Teri, Brett & Elaine are all wonderful. Camphosts are friendly too. 😉 It's a little slice of paradise. Perfect spot for sunset every night on the docks. There's a grocery store, dollar general & a couple restaurants less than 10 minutes away. Propane exchanges but no refills nearby. Wish we could have stayed longer. Favorite LA state park yet!
The little park was amazing. We had a spot on the water next to a wharf and cypress trees in our backyard. The park is set up so walking is easy. Great playgrounds if you have children. There are clean showers should you need to utilize them. It is the prettiest park we have stayed in and will be back! Fishing was great.
