Love the camping spots for tents and campers. They are all good size. Dave Chris are the owners they are wonderful folks. They have security guard teddy that does his job and does it well. Very friendly folks kid friendly. clean bathroom beach area and grounds area. They have church it wasn’t that good they could do some kind of activity on Saturday evening for family’s but it’s camping.

The lady at the front desk when we checked in was the rudest person I have ever met. We had to change our date from early July to this past weekend and we knew the possibility would be that we wouldn’t get the same raft or even campsite. When I made the switch the young lady told me we would have a 103.00 credit in the store because we paid for a 6 man raft and had to settle for a canoe instead. When checking in the lady at the front informed me that they don’t do refunds or credits. Which is totally different from what I was told on the phone. So they stole 105.00 dollars from us. I didn’t ask for a refund just make good on the additional amount we were charged. We didn’t cancel a reservation, we rescheduled, so a refund of some sort should have been issued. I plan on persuing this matter much further. This place is definitely not family friendly as far as the way it is run. I am extremely disappointed in this place.

The woman who owns this place is extremely rude! However, her employees are very friendly (sorry, you guys have to deal with her). There were multiple dealings with her over the weekend. First and foremost, we paid for our float in full and she tried saying we still owed money. Secondly, she rudely yelled at our group to sign the clipboard after we had already signed it and were patiently waiting for our rafts. Third, she will talk right in your face with her bullhorn and make you go deaf! This was our first time at this resort and because of her we do not want to go back. Our age group was 40-45 so its not like we were being inconsiderate kids. I do not plan on going back due to the owner’s rudeness. If she hates her job so much, maybe she should have someone else run it. Her behavior is completely unnecessary.

We stayed in one of the cabins (112) which we had stayed in 25 years ago with our small children. What a disappointment! There were cheerios and pretzels and candy wrappers all over the floor. The window was broken and had duck tape on one side only! Get rid of the mini frig….it takes up too much room! The floor was filthy ! Properly hasn’t been mopped in 25 years! We had reservations for two nights and packed up and went home after one night.

We did float and that was nice! They advertise a 5 mile float which I know it wasn’t because the take out used to be past park bluff take out!

Unfortunately we will not be back!

Update: Thank you for responding to my post….that means you do care. We did tell the young girl at the front desk about the problems and she didn’t really care. That was why we decided to leave. I would suggest to have someone check the cabins between guests then some of these issues would be taken care of before the next guest comes…especially sweeping and mopping the floor.

As far as your take out of your rafts/canoes are concerned you may be right but I do remember 4 years ago going by Wilderness Lodge and we didn’t this time. Still the float was fun.

I will recommend your float to others! Thank you!

We didn't stay but we went floating. So much fun. Parking for non campers & they pick you up & bus you back afterward. Approximately a 5hr float. You'll want to bring a cooler with food- make sure to bring a trash bag & buy the cooler a float or rent another one!
