It's a bit of a trek from St. Louis, but well worth it for the awesome experience - the river has crawdads and fish and amazingly cool rocks (including geodes) for kids to explore, and frequent banks perfect for picnics. There are some shallower areas that require a bit of portage, and rope swings set up along deeper stretches as well as calm tree-covered tunnels- I like the size of the river before it joins up with the Meramec, it seems easier to get in&out of the vehicle (raft, canoe, kayak or tube) and a lot of the others were long-standing repeat floaters from our conversations.

For someone who typically isn't a fan of technology, their updated online paperwork made it SO MUCH EASIER to get to the fun part - especially when you have small kids who want to be there and in the water already.

This place was awesome. They were FULLY staffed, and they were all as friendly and nice as could be. The camp sites were all clean and very kept up. All you had to do was drive up to the front where you check in and park. Then you get your raft or canoe and in you go. When you get done there's a bus waiting for you and takes you right back to your vehicle. They have a playground and horses and all kinds of stuff to do. All 4 of us took showers for $1.00. Good water pressure. Hot water. We absolutely loved it. Plus town is only like 10 minutes away so we took a break from camping and went and had a sit down meal in the air conditioning at a local restaurant.

This place is absolutely beautiful! The 6 mile float was so worth it and very clean. Definitely recommend making a stop here. We camped at T which was isolated from everyone else. The resort is well kept and has many things to do. Security patrols through out the day and night which was nice. Showers are .50 so be prepared. If you have Verizon be prepared to not have service.

Best camping place! Super friendly staff (Thanks for all you do!) Beautiful and spacious campsite. Lots of fun activities. One of my very favorite places to go (and I do several times a year) the campsites are so clean and well kept. The store has everything and the will even deliver pizza and wings to your campsite if you don't feel like cooking after a long day on the river.

We enjoyed our first camping getaway of 2024 here. Welcoming staff, large well-stocked store with everything you’ll need and camp sites right along the river. Campgrounds are clean, hookups for power and water, and good spacing between sites. Can’t wait to come back in summer for a float trip!
