Great campground and lots to do around the area. Wild horses and deer are usually visiting. Great showers and restrooms. Lodge is close and very pet friendly.

This place was full when we arrived so be sure to make reservations in advance. The Walk-in campsites are modern with good trees surround each site. The sites aren’t too close either. The park offers free wagons and wheel barrels for you to get your stuff to your campsite. I will be booking here again for sure!

Did an overnight tent camp that was supposed to be an entire weekend so the photos are based off roughly 24 hours or less in the area. I truly hope to get back down there but it's quite the drive from Kansas City, nonetheless the scenery is spectacular and very well maintained. Most of the pictures are from the water behind the hotel as I walked roughly a mile both ways looking for fish but more so just exploring. Crystal clear water and at a few other areas we stopped at were drop spots for canoe and/or raft floats which i regret not doing. If you get a chance, I would go explore and be prepared, as much as one can, to a LOT of mosquitoes but such is nature.
