Was a nice drive through the park yesterday, they do have campsites and a little lake with a swimming area that wasn’t open yet. My favorite part was the scenic overlook above the Mississippi River. You can see up and down the river for miles and miles in both directions.

Nice camp ground. Several hiking trails in the park. Camp sites have a nice view of the river. Full hook up available. A good amount of space around the sites so you don't feel too cramped. ATT cell reception is ok. Good enough to stream music. Only downside to the site is the train track right by it. We had maybe 4 trains come by Friday night to Sunday morning and they were loud.

We stayed off season January 5th through the 19th! It was beautiful watching the ice flow down the Mississippi River with the colorful barges going up and down the river. No water, because it was off season! But because of that, $22 night! People were checking on us because of the fridged temperatures! We loved it!

Absolutely loved our winter stay! Beautiful campground and the staff are AMAZING! We stayed during the January 2024 cold snap, got some light snow and low temps, but we had staff stopping by most every day to check to ensure we were ok. Even though we were to only ones in the park most of the time, we sure appreciated what we thought was special treatment. We will be back in the fall I'm sure of it. A big Thank You to all the staff!
