Located 8 miles south of Crystal River and 15 miles north of Weeki Wachee. From US 19 in Homosassa Springs, turn west on CR 490A (Hall's River Road) at the Hardee's. Go approx. 1/2 mile west and make the first left, (Fishbowl Drive). Go approx. 1.2 miles to Homosassa River RV Resort, located on the left.
Cute place. A little pricey but scalloping season. Our campsite was clean and easy in and out. C4. Not much interaction with staff for us. Little cabins around the campground are nice. Pool on small side.
We visited as a prospect to stay in the near future. We loved the way it was in the trees and lots were very nice. The staff was so sweet and very informative. We are excited to come back!
I stayed at this RV resort over the Thanksgiving weekend. The resort is in good shape, generally. Unfortunately, the restroom and shower building was closed for renovation. The website did not mention this as it would have been important to me since my camper does not have "facilities." They did provide a porta-potty trailer, and it was upper scale with showers. Unfortunately, the resort staff did not clean or maintain the facilities during my entire stay. The internet was useless. There were other amenities that were not working or available during my stay. It's frustrating since I was charged $30 for amenities.
Management is awesome! Great manager Polly! Awesome sales Sandy! Fun place to live. A lot of neighbor support and gatherings. Great shopping 25 mins. away. 15 minutes to fun restaurants on the water. One thing SunRetreats should consider is lowering their commissions on the homes they sell for owners who want to sell. They need to be competitive to keep the sales going through the office. I know they lowered but really need to lower at a competitive rate. Thank you for considering that suggestion.
We stayed 2 nights at the Sun resort in a 25’ Airstream on our trip from Jacksonville to Destin. Office staff upon check in were quite helpful! The full time residents we met were equally very welcoming! We enjoyed our stay and frequented Crump’s Landing several times for dinner! Gravel sites were level and varied in size and appeal!
