I had a great time. Big campsites. It does have access to the lake, but the lake itself was really low. For what reason, I have no idea.

This WAS a beautiful, unspoiled place once. Every year it gets worse and worse. First the trails started getting closed off, then the logging, now it appears they have dug up and blocked lake access on the center loop sites. I grew up coming here and it WAS a wonderful experience. Now the roads are dumpy and unmaintained and the toilets get emptied a couple times a year. Every time they let logging in they leave a massive mess in the campsites and don’t bother cleaning up. Whoever is in charge of maintaining and preserving this area has a LOT to be ashamed of. Unspoiled splendor ruined by “conservation”. I miss the Trout Lake campground I knew and loved.
