Chippewa Landing Campground

An absolutely amazing experience. The staff at Chippewa Landing was on point, from start to the time I landed. They helped with my equipment and made the trip excellent.

The views on the river were perfect! I highly recommend taking the time to drive and paddle down the river.

Staff here have shuttled our vehicle for us two years now and they are always super friendly and efficient. When we’re at the campground either unloading or loading up our vehicle we’re surrounded by happy campers who, as one told me, have been making annual trips to Chippewa for years. The Manistee is a beautiful river. The shuttling rates are reasonable. We’re already return customers and will keep that tradition.

Accidentally discovered this slice of heaven last year and decided to make it our yearly vacation spot. This year we rented tubes and had them drop us off and float the 3 hours down to the landing. We also took several of the trails in the camp that are wonderfully maintained. Beautiful. Professional. Just a great place to go for peaceful rustic camping.

We took a small group here and had an amazing time. Awesome river trip, great peaceful campsite and they had a wonderful staff.

The highway traffic from a few miles away was a little noisy, but everything else was so great it far outweighs that tiny inconvenience. We are already planning on an annual event here. Great spot!
