Located 7 miles west of Conway on State Highway 60, then .5 miles east on access road.
Camping with water and power, fishing, great place for the kids, has a beach.
Loved this park! My grandson had a great time on the playground equipment and just running around all over. Excellent place to let those kiddoes run off that crazy energy. The only thing I didn’t care for was no trash can anywhere. That drove my grandson crazy but we still had lots of fun!
Hosts were super nice and kept the place clean. A bit of road noise due to the bridge. Not bad, but it sounds kind of like when a kid rides a skateboard on a sidewalk. Traffic noise mostly dies off at night. Boat traffic isn't very load and neat to watch. Tug barges blow horn once, maybe a few times a day. Signage to get into the camp is weak. After you cross the bridge, turn right into the gas station parking lot, then go down the street twenty feet, then hard right to go under the bridge. No signs pointing the way, so it was a little confusing when you have never visited. Decent showers on site. Dump station was ordinary. Lots of day use traffic, but everyone was friendly.
Point of view from someone who is not camped but walks here everyday.
The campground itself is very nice. It is right along the river and the campsites are spread out well. The restrooms are clean. The worst downfall of the camp is the lawn maintenance.
The grass, even near the campsites, is a good 18" tall with weeds. It is so tall that you would not want to walk through any of the fields, the basketball courts or volleyball courts, or the playgrounds for fear of chiggers.
The site needs to rebid whomever they use for their mowing service, because they are not getting it done.
