From Harrisburg, travel east 1 mile on Arkansas Hwy. 14, then take Arkansas Hwy. 163 south 3 miles to the park; OR; from Wynne, travel east on Arkansas Hwy. 64 just 5 miles to Levesque, then turn north on Arkansas Hwy. 163 and drive 21 miles to the park.
Good state park but not sure how you can spot a Heron on the Great Blue Heron trail when you can't see the water. Part of trail at the beginning was closed.
From the staff to the campground itself, this campground is one of the best. It’s quiet and not too large, but has plenty to do like hiking trails around the lake and a playground. We stayed at Site 17 which was large and level. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean for a campground. We will absolutely be back to this campground.
