I had an incredible time staying at the park, and enjoying some camping with the family. The campgrounds themselves were amazing with lots of space between campsites to enjoy some activities during the day. There were so many beautiful birds to check out, which I really enjoyed. Then, the river was of course absolutely beautiful. 10/10

My family loves this little park! It's a beautiful dark sky park, perfect for star gazing! The South Llano River is springfed and practically drought proof! It's a blast to kayak from up river to the park and from the state park down to city park! The hiking trails are fun to explore and we really enjoyed hiking during the annular solar eclipse. The only thing that would make it 5 stars is for a bathroom update! The bathroom in the camping area is pretty gross, but it's also really old. Currently you can rent tubes, but no kayaks. Donate to the park to help them with their goal of purchasing kayaks for people to rent! They will be in the path of totality for April, so head out to check it out!

South Llano River State Park is a solar eclipse enthusiast's dream. I recently witnessed an annual solar eclipse here, and it was truly unforgettable. The park rangers were incredibly helpful in answering all my eclipse-related questions.

Please note the $5 entry fee, which is a small price for enjoy the park. Just a short quarter-mile drive to the right after entering the park, and you can quickly obtain a permit.

During my visit, I was pleasantly surprised to find volunteers with telescopes for public viewing. However, spots are limited, so booking in advance is a wise choice. Besides the eclipse, I had the chance to see local wildlife, including deer and bison, which added to the park's appeal.

South Llano River State Park is a must-visit for celestial events and Texas' natural beauty. 🌟🌒🌌

Beautiful scenery and trails. Trails are clearly marked and range from easy to difficult. The park was quiet, and the wildlife was abundant. Can't wait to go back in spring and see all the beautiful blooms and colorful creatures.

They do offer showers and restrooms at the camping area.
