Love this place. Great fisherman's location. Primitive sites that will accommodate some RV's.

It's definitively way off the beaten path but worth the trip. The campsites were clean with a short walk down to the river near each site. The toilet was close by and very clean as well. I only spent a night there but would have loved to spend a few more. Very peaceful, remote, and beautiful.

The site is wonderful, quiet, and well maintained. The reason for the 4 star is due to the cooler and no alcohol policy. Coolers must be locked or stored in a vehicle (truck beds and jeeps w/ soft tops dont count). Forest service must have had a bad night since they made a man at this site dump all his alcohol he wasn't drinking at the time.

Overall, it was a great site for 6 bucks cash a night.

I thoroughly enjoyed Jake Best in the Spring of 2023 and I'm planning to head back Spring of '24 for more fly fishing. The sites are well maintained and so is the pit toilet. Great base camp for exploring this part of the Cherokee National Forest.

My YouTube video from Spring '23.
