We stayed in the cabins facing the river and the view was very nice. The cabin itself was nice and cozy. It came with a queen size bed and a bunk bed but I will say the bed frames are quite squeaky and loud which made it quite hard to sleep soundly at night. The mattresses were pretty uncomfortable too so I would suggest to anyone staying in them to bring a foam padding.
The staff was nice and the grounds were clean and well kept. The campground itself was clean and quiet too even being right off the road. We had parking right behind the cabin which was very convenient as well.
I think the bathrooms could use some more tlc... the shower heads were crusted over from hard water damage and honestly didnt use the showers after seeing that. The walls have cute art work but the overall work done on the bathrooms seemed patchy and cheap looking.
Overall we had a good stay! Jackson Hole was only 20 minutes away and the drive there and back was beautiful. We would love to stay here again in the future!
We had a great stay! The cabins are super clean, as were the bathrooms/showers, and laundry. We had been tent camping for almost two weeks so this was a nice break from it. The cabins are not too far from Jackson. Maybe 12 minutes. Listening to the river in the evenings was super relaxing and the staff were incredibly friendly! I highly recommend! Oh and the fact that dogs are welcome was an added bonus!!
Location is Wow! Right on the Snake River. Such a treat. Staff were so friendly, made it very nice.
However, beds were so awful, recommend bringing a blow up mattress or padding to help. Having to bring your own bedding was definitely a negative. And we also had a camping site which just barely fit a three-man tent, glad we didn't bring our bigger one, it wouldn't have fit.
Cabins did have electricity and a heater, so that was good. Bathrooms were 4/5 clean, pretty good. Showers were warm. Bring your own towels. General store there had shampoo and conditioner for sale, along with mosquito spray and other essentials.
Will look at paying more for a better place next time. Not worth the discount for a bad nights sleep. Highly recommend the owners invest in better mattresses and bedding, and improving the size of tent camping sites.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the "Mama Bear" cabin that was very clean, and had everything except tinfoil (which we should have brought ourselves). We were very appreciative of the coffee maker. The bathroom had soft fluffy towels along with bath soap and shampoo. The kitchen also came supplied with dish soap, a dish sponge, a drain rack, plus all the cooking utensils, pots, pans, and silverware we needed. The cabins themselves were sandwiched together, and until I understood the area and layout, they really needed to be due to our cabins having their own bathrooms. It was great to walk down to the edge of the Snake River since the park is right on it.
All in all I do recommend these cabins to anyone wanting to stay a little longer term in the vicinity of Jackson Hole, and the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National parks.
An absolute gem of a place to stay. Vacationing in the Grand Tetons in September 2023, my wife found Snake River Cabins. Loved everything about this place. First, it's a few miles south of Jackson, close enough to be convenient, but far enough away from the traffic and crowds. Second, the cabins were modern, clean, cute and very "live-able". Third, these cabins are tucked in between a small creek and the Snake River, so you're hearing the rushing water everywhere you go, which was so relaxing. Fourth, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Can't recommend highly enough. Campgrounds were clean and well maintained. Thanks! Hope to return.
