Sharps Outfitters was awesome! Their hospitality is great! Very friendly and helpful from the front desk to the launch site. Their showers and bathrooms are clean and suitable (remember to bring soap and shampoo). We will be returning to them for more fun! We didn’t camp but their campsite was very clean and quiet. Definitely recommend!
We used Sharps to take our Girl Scout troop tubing on the Niobrara and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. They did all the set up for us - all we had to do was get on and have fun!
This is the outfitter we always use when we go tubing. We love their new office and bathrooms! The bathrooms are roomy, clean, and well kept and the office has lots of space to accommodate their patrons. The staff is friendly and helpful. They helped us load and unload our coolers from the bus, and quickly had our tubes ready for us to head down the river. They were waiting for us as we arrived back at Sharp's Landing and once again were happy to help us with our tubes and gear. We had a great experience!
This place has gone down hill! In our group there are six couples, we come here on Labor Day weekend for the past four years and we all tube down the Niobrara using the Mable tubes and at least three cooler tubes. We give the store a lot of business and it's been fine. But this year, was horrible, one of the couples lost their phone and wanted to see if they can go to the landing to look for it, the counter lady was rude and did not wanted to help, instead threaten them that they will be arrested for trespassing if they go down there. The guy on the side by side was extra rude, no people skills at all, came and yelled at us because we had a fire below the ring top and we were using to cook, which we were told was ok! He was driving around without his headlights on trying to bust people, I guess, but there were kids running around playing! He just wanted to flex his muscles! Spend your money elsewhere, there are plenty of other outfitters in that area. We won't be back!
Everything was good except for the guy on the side by side. When we first arrived the parking lot was busy so I pulled off to the side of the road so I would cause anymore parking problems. I was completely off of the road. As I left to go to my camp site, he approached me and told us not to park at the road anymore and that it was a county road. If they think they need to enforce that, they need a bigger parking lot as there wasn’t any other place to park without blocking others in. Also, when I went to start a fire at our camp site, he came by and was very rude. I had already called ahead and I was well aware of their restrictions. No people skills what so ever. Everyone else was very helpful.
