About Campground

We are conveniently located just off I-80 in Ogallala. Our property runs right along I-80, which makes it very easy to get on and off the interstate. 2 truck stops are within walking distance for quick and easy fueling. We do not have propane on-site, but a local company (SAPP Brothers on Highway 30) offers propane during normal business hours. We are just nine miles from Lake McConaughy, which offers fishing, boating, swimming, and lots of sandy beaches. Ogallala has a lot of history and was the end of the Great Western Trail. Ogallala is known as Nebraska's Cowboy Capital. There are many things to do within a 200-mile radius. Come and stay with us - we look forward to having you as our guest!

GREAT campground for dogs! The pet pens are so helpful when you're setting up or breaking camp. Two very well kept dog areas, one with artificial turf and one with lush green grass. Both were immaculate, the turf (also in our pet pen) looks to be rinsed off regularly, if not daily, and have gentle lighting for midnight runs.

The whole park was clean and felt new, with a cute playground for kids and inviting public gathering spaces.

Roads and sites were smooth gravel which means lower dust and comfortable walking for both feet and paws.

Easy after-hours check-in, good text communication from staff. Absolutely would recommend, will probably stay here again on our way home!

Super clean, dog run, playground, very friendly and helpful staff. Newer section has no landscaping (trees or plants). Picnic bench at each site. Stayed here two nights and the noise from the interstate is almost unbearable, 24/7. Had to wear earplugs to sleep and can’t have a normal conversation outside at all. If that doesn’t bother you, great place to stay! Visited the petrified wood museum and art gallery which was great! Also drive out to the lake and was very scenic. “Mansion on the Hill” is only open Memorial Day to Labor Day so I missed out, being October.

Nice flat sites with full hook-ups right off the highway with a Walmart nearby if you need supplies. Stopped here on a cross country trek from Oregon to Pennsylvania and this was one of our favorite overnight spots. They have 2 fenced in dog areas and just enough space to do a lap or two to exercise after a long day of driving. You do hear highway noise but we had worse spots on this trip for noise at night. Felt safe and clean. Their customer service was better than other RV campgrounds we stayed at. Only had one pic from this location - we caught a beautiful September sunset. They do also have tent sites.

Very nice and clean KOA!

We stayed one night. Had 2 dog areas and a playground for the little one. We had our r.t.t. and used one of the tent areas. It had a fire ring electric and water. We had a hot shower the night we got there and the bathrooms are 200% clean and very taken care of!! Will stay again if we're in the area. Yes there is traffic noise from the highway but this KOA is very convenient just off of I80!
