We have been coming to the campground for three years and always enjoy our time here. Clean facilities, well maintained spots and a friendly staff. We enjoy the pickle ball courts, mini golf, the weekend events they have and the fenced in dog park. Very close to all the mystic attractions which is a bonus.
I worked hard all year for this!?!?! I am writing this in my truck miserable at 445 on a Friday on our first night here. No sewer hookups !!!! I cant find anywhere on the website where it says that. Lady at the front desk was rude. I asked for firewood and was told not now. You have to find your own campsite and hope you're situated right on the non-sewer hookups they actually have. Having our entire site on a grass field is just stupid. We're here for an entire week and there is only 1 minor event for kids. This place has made me literally want to sell my camper and just be done with starting off my hard earned vacations on a completely sour note
Very nice campsite. We had some issues with our travel trailer which would have ended our trip if not for Marty one of the staff members at Sun Outdoors. He went above and beyond to give me a hand and save our trip. I recommend this campground.
We have camped at this park (formerly Seaport R/V Resort), for four straight seasons and look forward to returning each year. Although there have been management issues in the past, this seems to be resolved and the staff and management are super friendly and accommodating. The campsites are spacious and the restrooms are as clean as any we've seen.
Seasonal campers are quite common in CT parks and this isn't a bad thing. The seasonal folks in our experience are friendly and eager to offer insider tips on the locale. The S.O. Mystic park has its share of seasonal, but for the most part they aren't living full time in their R/Vs, but using them as weekend escapes. Their units appear to be well maintained and road-ready and they have to be, as owners are required to vacate their sites at end of season.
To sum it up - top notch!
Good size camp site. People seemed friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Showers seemed small and no benches but had hooks. Only draw back for us is no sewer hook ups. Fairly quite.
