From Pineland, TX, take FM 83 west 6 miles, then south on FM 1751 for 4 miles to the park entrance.
It is a really nice park. Restrooms were clean. Volunteers in the office very helpful. We were on site 41 and couldn't get totally level. But beware... when we first got to the camp grounds we parked our rig in the boat launch parking area so we could walk to see where our camp spot was since we had never been there. In the short time we were gone and out of sight someone lowered our tailgate and stole our ice chest. I was told someone else had something stolen from their truck the week before.
First time visitor arriving on a perfect weather day and spent the night. Park attendant was friendly and was happy to chat. In the evening the camping spot was quiet. Just perfect
There is a small pantry and grocery store just at the entrance to the park. However if you are looking to purchase alcohol then be aware that the store is not allowed to sell alcohol with a church located across the street. And the nearest place is Pineland about 5-6 miles away
Quiet and pretty COE park with a number of nice campsites right on the lake. Super clean restrooms and individual showers (weak water pressure). RV pads are a bit run down so make sure to bring blocks/boards to help level your camper. Concrete picnic tables with covers and fire pits at each site. Love this little gem of a park in the woods.
The park is located in and around the lake and has its own boat launch along with a large Pavilion that must be rented in advance. The views are excellent from many of the campsites that Overlook the lake. Beautiful Pines are located all throughout the park and we saw deer on multiple occasions.
