About Campground

The rural beauty of northeast Texas makes this a truly wonderful year-round destination as well as a quiet and peaceful overnight respite. The campground has plenty of shady Pull-Thru RV Sites alongside an undisturbed field, with a catch-and-release fishing pond. You'll find all the great KOA attractions: a swimming pool, rec room with pool table, children's play area, horseshoes, Kamp K9, air-conditioned laundry, free Wi-Fi and beautiful restrooms. Walk to nearby restaurants, then head into town for shopping. Local lakes provide sport for the angler, and the Mount Pleasant Country Club offers an excellent public course (just down the road). Enjoy the mild winters! Pool: May 15 - September 30. Max pull thru: 80 feet.

This was our first time at this KOA. Definitely a pleasant experience. I was checked in by a very nice woman. She was concerned that we were going to be arriving late and graciously upgraded our site to a pull through. Very very nice of her.

This Journey was nicer than a lot of KOA Holidays we've stayed at. All the sites were well groomed, with lush grass.

The pool looked very nice. We feed the fish at the catch and release pond.

Definitely will be staying again. Great find for our trips from and back to Texas.

We are staying for an extended period of time at the KOA Journey in Mount Pleasant, Texas. The grounds are nicely kept, and the staff is friendly. The pool is well kept, and perfect for exercise and swimming. We are pleased that it is near restaurants and shopping.

We stayed one quick night here, but I was impressed that the bathrooms were really clean, the whole campground seemed really well maintained. There is a fun game room and a pretty pond.
