This only applies to the saloon. Not rest of the resort which is fantastic.So many kids and drunk people on the dance floor standing around, or trying to dance, spilling alcohol all over.
Seems more like a place people sent their kids to keep them occupied. Had fun a few dances, but with all the kids (like 20 0f em 5yrs and up) we had to leave. This is a bar mind you. a great concept. Terrible execution. Maybe another area and floor for all the minors to have fun. For taking your kids to have fun, I guess it is great. For line dancing though, make a 2 hr drive if you have too. It would be well worth it. The rest of the ranch was awesome.
This was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was always polite. There was plenty to do with our kiddos. Our little cottage was comfortable even though it was a little outdated. The appliances worked but not well. The amenities were great, like the golf cart rental and the free petting farm. Off season is a little more ghost town, but we had a relaxing visit, and the place was clean and friendly. The price points were VERY high, but all in all I'd stay here again. I want to try "glamping" next!
We spent 3 nights here in January. This RV resort is lovely; however, if you want or need to go to the main office, a golf cart will make it easier unless you drive. Too far to walk. The laundry requires a “laundry card” that you have to get from the main office and load money onto it. A plus was that $3 was already loaded; however, you can only load $5 or $10 to the card, and you may not need that much with no way to get your money back. Also, the noise level from all the constant golf cart traffic in front of our lot made it seem as though we were on a busy, loud street. We may have chosen a lot close to a main intersection, so look for lots located away from intersections. The pool was very nice, but the lounge chairs were impossible to sit in. We took our own. The rodeo on Sat was very entertaining; it’s not to be missed, and the cost is reasonable ($30ish per person). Based on the noise level and the main office/shops being located so far away, we probably will not stay here again.
We have been coming to River Ranch for a few years now. They have added so many great amenities in the last year….the rodeo was a blast, the play area is perfect and the restaurant/coffee shop all has amazing service. They have gotten a little to strict in some rules like no scooters which unless you drive a car or have a golf cart you can’t get around. Other than that we love going to the camp site!
