Great place to camp, relax, fish and get away. Downfall is the bathroom. It's enclosed yes but smells pretty bad and isn't the cleanest and be sure to bring your own toilet paper. 😆 They do have a old fashion hand pump well (very cool) to get water, otherwise no running water. Overall it's a beautiful place and kinda secluded which we found to be a plus, as it is not over crowded or over traveled. This is the closest to natural nature you can get in the area. Home to a few interesting fish and alligators too. We will definitely visit again. 🌲🏞️🐟🐊🐢🦝🐰
The eastern portion of the trail is not well marked and overgrown. Make sure you bring a map or trail program with you. Be prepared to walk through waist high weeds and grasses. Didn’t see or hear much wildlife on this trip.
