Great family-owned business since 1983. Everyone was friendly and they have a great place along the river to just picnic and relax while waiting for your trip.

We arrived as the first 10am group was boarding to leave. They have the option of taking a 7-hour (full day) trip or the 3.5-hour (half day) trip where they load your canoe/kayak and drop you up river. Alternatively, you can rent by the hour and paddle up or down river from the livery.

Prices are reasonable, equipment well-maintained, and the river itself is peaceful, clean, woodsy.

A beautiful quiet little campground by the River Raisin in the southeastern Michigan countryside. I came up for Memorial Day Weekend to tour the Detroit area and enjoy the quiet and serenity of camping in the evening. This campground was about 50 minutes from Downtown Detroit, so not too far. It's small, with just a few campsites.

They also had canoes and kayaks for rent. I had to pass this time, as I was too worn out from my long jogs and time in the sun on the River Walk and on Belle Isle.

The lady working at the desk was nice and I enjoyed chatting with her. They were kind enough to open the front gate early on the day I left.

They had an outhouse only (no bathhouse), but no worries for just a couple days. Just heat some hot water and bring your washcloth or go jump in a lake (or Detroit River like I did), haha.

Small and quiet place to relax, friendly owner and very clean place. Well maintained and a joy to stay at. Firewood on site and delivered for a fee. Super helpful. Really enjoyed the views and the fact they offered canoe rentals made it even better!

Amazing fun time! Sites are primitive only but such an amazing hidden gem. Was a fun date weekend with just the hubs and I - we took their half day canoeing and a camping spot and enjoyed all of it. They have bathrooms. No showers though. But for a weekend it was good. (Brought shower wipes) there was a volley ball net. A huge grass area. A small playground. A picnic area. They rent canoes and kayaks either by the hour or half and day drop offs. They allow one dog per site. Great for kids too. If you have more than 4 people I'd suggest 2 sites next to each other

Perfect Fall kayaking/camping trip. Extremely accommodating for the time of the year. We were the only campers and only saw a few groups of kayakers renting. Primitive outhouse in decent condition and well water available. Well maintained grounds but unfortunately the mosquitos also loved the site!! Overall loved our trip and we plan to frequent this site for quick weekend getaways! Site 11 is the best spot, on the River, and in the corner on a generous sized plot.
