I know thing have to change but, sometimes it isn't for the best. They have updated the houses and rooms but, lost all the family attractions and atmosphere. Our grandchildren are 5th generation and they will never experience the family atmosphere. They have gone up a lot for the rooms and you don't even get internet while you are there for the week. The games at the Arcade requires you to use a card for all the games but, then takes points from you because you are using the card. I wish them the best.
First things first. WAY OVER PRICED!!! So this is not a hotel but a motel. The prices we payed I could have stayed in a suite at a Hilton or a room at the ritz Carlton. That being said. The motel room did have a kitchenette but the bathroom was extremely small and I have never seen a mini sink like that except for in a doll house. They also charged me an extra $25 dollars to use my credit card. Was I supposed to pay in cash as I don’t believe They would take an out of state check. I would never stay at this place again unless there prices were cut in half and then some. How shady is a $25 dollar extra charge for using a credit card. NOT GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE.
The venue is absolutely beautiful! I have attended two weddings at the Grand Regal, with the second one being last night. I had two totally different experiences with the staff (maybe owners) at each wedding. I’ll start by saying, the first wedding I attended was a Native American girl (a friend of my sister), the staff showed their faces ONE time to let the bride know, if she needed anything to contact them. Didn’t see anyone the rest of the evening. Now, last night 10-22-22, this was my cousin’s wedding, she’s African American, so the attendees was mostly African Americans as well. The Grand Regal kept 6 staff members on the premises the entire night, but not for assistance, to monitor. My thing is, if you don’t trust who you are renting your venue out to, don’t rent it out to them. I don’t recommend this venue, unless you want to pay thousands of dollars to be watched like you’re a child! Treat all guests the same!
We rented a park model and it was perfect for a group of four, and we loved that it was right on the beach. Everything was extremely clean and the beds were very comfy. Only downsides are not quite enough seating in the living area, and the loft had no headspace - you had to crawl on hands and knees to get to the bed which we didn’t realize from photos. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again
Although I only stayed one night while passing through on a random business trip, I was immediately charmed by this amazing destination resort. I will DEFINTELY return with family one day! The lake is so crystal blue and sand so white that it looks like our beaches here in South Florida. I did not even know this was possible at inland lakes. I just love the Goldstons Beach attractions area. But best of all was the warm welcome from the front desk staff!
