This is 99% an RV park. It's like a small city of RVs. We went here to use two of the 10 campsites. These are located in the best part of the park, right on the water. With every RV having their own bathrooms, I was a bit mystified as to why they put the bathrooms and showers so far from the campsites. We had two little kids, and it was a long way for their little legs to go, and grandpa's too, to get to the bathroom. The pool is large and heated, and they have a Great waterside into the pool. We had a nice time, but this is pretty far from any activities on the coast, which was where we spent all our time.
So we stayed there from 6-2 2023 to 6-06-2023. And it was so much fun, a lot of people had a lot of families there the bath house are are very clean. We got a spot right on the water we went fishing, swimming they have a huge slide which is so much fun! Although they have safety, when you hear thunder they close the pool down. Until it passes by which is good. The only thing that happened to us was the last night we were there 😱it rained really bad and our tent took on water so that sucked forgot to spray it with Scotch Guard, but otherwise we had a great time!
99% permanent residence, not set up for over nighters , pool shut down 80 degrees. no activities, high price. would spend more time finding another place. $81 a night to park on the grass.
Out looking for a different location to stay ( only because of less than desirable cellular service at our current location) and decided to stop here. Already knowing Thousand Trails reputation and having past experiences with them I was hesitant but stopped anyway. No surprise here. Still has poor customer service. This particular place has a shack out front and the gentleman in it was rude. Office staff no better. No friendly hello and welcome to Thousand Trails, they just looked at us with disgust as if we were interrupting their day. It a no from me. Plenty of other places around that don't treat you this way and don't want to sell you some overpriced membership.
Came in Friday @ 3:50pm with a tag along and golf cart in the bed of my truck. The older gate guard checked us in since the office closed early. Took a ride in the golf cart Saturday morning and went outside the main gate. Once coming back onto the property with our cart we were just getting ready to swipe our card for the gate, the gate guard started chewing us out, very unprofessional and mad that we didn’t have a sticker on the cart. Well Mr. gate guard you saw us check in yesterday for the first time ever and you never told us anything about needing a $25 sticker. On top of it we felt that we were to much of a inconvenience for asking how to find our camp spot, which you never helped. We will definitely try to stick with military bases where we’re treated with respect. First time and last time to this location!
