Me and my parter stayed at radio ranch last minute in July! Beautiful camp ground, so welcoming and inviting. We recommend this place to anyone who loves the outdoors and wants an amazing clamping experience. 10/10 would recommend. If we are ever in this area again, we will certainly be booking with them again.

Please read all of this with the context that there was a November freeze and temperatures were at or below freezing for the duration of our stay.

This a review for a stay during low temps.

If coming during the winter heed the warning they give about arriving before dusk. In winter this leaves a very narrow window between the 3:00pm check in and darkness, so head over to the general area early and grab dinner in a nearby town. Navigating to the location right dusk was difficult and had we arrived any later we would not have found it and/or would have hit something on the way into the property as the roads leading to the property are unlit and poorly marked - as expected in such a lovely out of the way area. After confirming your stay they do send a very detailed and long note with instructions about arriving to the property. Do heed them.

Bedding and beds were very comfy and everything was extremely clean and well thought out.

Remember you are off grid - in the winter you're going to be in a low light (candle and some battery powered devices included) environment almost immediately after you arrive. If in the winter move quickly to get yourself sorted before full darkness. The light show lasted for a very brief time as the lights are solar charged and the daylight hours are short in November. They did not last anywhere near the 3 hours as advertised and was looking forward to.

There are plenty of vignettes set up for prime photo ops and they even offer the addition of someone dressed up in a Sasquatch costume for an extra fee.

While plenty of blankets were provided (and used) the tiny adorable stove made no dent in the inside temperature once the temps dropped so low. I went through several of the hand cut wood bundles trying to raise the temp inside the tent higher than the temp outside. In the morning the pipes had frozen so no hot water was available. They did extend the check out by an hour to help accommodate this inconvenience. There is a lovely open at the top shower that would have been wonderful to use.

They also offer eggs!

This place was absolutely magical!!! I have been in need of severe nature time and I’m so grateful I found Radio Ranch! The host was extremely sweet and helpful! Im beyond scared of insects and bugs, but the hostess had placed a wonderful goodie bag inside each tent containing mosquito bracelets!!! This was super helpful. I did NOT get 1 bug bite the entire trip 🙏🏽

I’m already planning my next trip again. I had the best night sleep and felt incredibly safe. The hiking trial on the ranch is stunning. We ended up doing a Bigfoot photo shoot which was hilarious. The photos turned out really good 😊

I also ended up taking a souvenir back with me; as soon as I found out they sell eggs, I had to purchase them right away! They were super delicious and fresh 😍😍 I miss radio ranch! I’ll be back very soon and this time will bring my husband who does not like nature at all. Radio ranch is the perfect glamping experience and it was very romantic too 🔥

If you've ever wondered what it's like to explore Wonderland forest magic while living luxuriously, then Radio Ranch is the adventure for you! This beautifully designed glamp site will have thought of your every need while still enjoying the rustic experience of the Trinity Alps wilderness. We practically had no need or desire to leave the camp grounds. Our amazing host Mallory, gave our group a tour of the hiking trails, creeks, waterfalls, and natural springs that are waiting to be explored. We saw BIGFOOT during our stay, and had a photoshoot with him too! Mallory is also a very talented massage therapist! I booked a relaxing 60 min session with her the morning we checked out, which gave me enough relief and energy to drive us all back home, and still dreaming for the next time we will return to Radio Ranch.

Recently visited. Had a fabulous trip. The tents are comfortable and beautifully furnished. Even though it was cold and rainy we stayed comfortable because the kitchen and bath areas are well covered. We forgot our camping heater so we rented one from the owners. It kept our tent warm and comfortable. The entire place is beautiful, especially at night when the solar lights come on! I definitely recommend Radio Ranch!
