A little more rustic than I was expecting after looking at there web site. Had a excellent time watching the Early Californios Skills of the Rancho. Bring some water and shade, it was hot and dusty.

Parkfield Cafe and the trip up the valley never disappoints. Burgers were amazing and make sure to try the wine from the Cholame valley. Thank you for the hospitality!

If you want to experience a great cowboy get away...whether you are a real cowboy or a poser like me....this is for you. We loved the incredible vistas, unique lodging experience, and being made to feel part of a big cowboy family. We stayed in the Yokut room. The grotto shower was incredible!!! I looked up to see an Indian chief, a maiden ....and yes! a bear in the loft above our sumptuous, luxurious bed!

This is a place that's worth the drive. A destination that you will want to experience over and over....we can't decide where to stay next...the water tower or the post office!!! Than you, John, Barb, and Ian for a fabulous experience!!!

Incredible real ranch life experience. We met some really fun guests that we can't wait to ride with again. Great food, beautiful scenery, can't say enough about how genuine and real the Varians are. This is a must do every year!
