Small & clean. Not very many rides. My girlfriend said the fair was smaller than a few years ago. There were no Dairy cows or dairy goats. Food vendors didn't seem happy to be working. I was surprised to find out that the demolition derby had tickets and were sold out. I never saw mention on the fair calendar about their being tickets for sale! I probably will never return for a fair here again.
A great facility with many options for all types of events, and there's even an RV Park! Covered arena near stalls, large D Derby arena with grandstands, and the Skuce Pavilion indoor arena. Beautiful lawns and a gazebo. Ingram Hall to rent for special occasions, complete with kitchen, bathrooms and a stage. The annual InterMountain Fair during Labor Day weekend has something for everyone.
this is the official Shasta county Fair and it's very old and a very well done fair as far as county fairs go. they're animals and local contests for people in the fair. it is a small fair. but everyone has a good time. especially the kids with 4-H and FFA. definitely worth checking out. mostly it's us locals. but we don't mind talking to others as well. everybody's very friendly. it's a great time of year! there is a destruction Derby and usually some concert.
