About Campground

Warner Valley Campground has 17 campsites and offers 8 sites that can be reserved in advance online and the remaining 9 sites on a first-come, first-served basis. Warner Valley Campground is open from June 4th, 2021 (Weather Permitting and Tentative to COVID-19 Restrictions) through October 4th, 2021. To reserve one of the 8 sites online, see the information below **. For the first come first serve sites, self register at the bulletin board within 30 minutes of your arrival. The cost for each site at Warner Valley Campground is $16 per night. A 2-Night Minimum is required for Weekends and Holidays. There are vault toilets and drinking water nearby. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, fire grate, bear proof box and parking area. Electric and water hookups are not available, though potable water spigots are available in the campground. Groceries, supplies, gifts, gasoline, a pay phone, ATM, laundromat, and hot showers can be located in the nearby town of Chester, CA.

The campground is located one mile north of Warner Valley Ranger Station via a gravel road and 17 miles north of Chester. Not recommended for trailers. Numerous trailheads are located nearby.

It's a dirt road at the end, but it is passable in my little sedan. Just be aware when the pavement ends. Cool hikes to devil's kitchen from this trailhead
