Great place to start a hike. You can do Papoose Pass or test your endurance on Shasta Bally (5+miles and 4700 vertical feet). Google for Shasta Bally Stairmaster.

Wonderfully maintained four site camp with bathroom (no running water) on site, site "4" is a double sized and you cannot hear the road at all. Only the sounds of the forest

Great secluded camp, 4 sites only.

Bubbling Brandy Creek is nearby. No running water at the camp and the last miles of road are unpaved, with no bumps or potholes. The restroom is okay. The location is super quiet.

Sites 2 3 4 are flat and easily accessible from the parking lot, and Site 1 is a bit downhill, not suitable for limited mobility people.

The lake is 10-15 minutes away.

Overall: awesome camp though I would like to have more shade when the heat wave struck. We had it over 105 F
