My husband and I discovered R-Ranch in the Mountians in 2017. Since arriving to Georgia just a few years before, we quickly realized this was our paradise - our sanctuary. Our family has enjoyed so many wonderful days and nights soaking in the beauty of the ranch. It has become “the place” to be. Our children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, nieces and nephews have enjoyed the amenities and are always welcome. Our daughter and her family soon followed suite and bought in and are renovating a Cabin at Chapel

hill. We love the lazy days by the pool, horseback riding, the annual rodeo and Music in the Mountians. The Chapel Hill cabins and Rainbow Lake cottages gives each family their own space while the stay. Our grandchildren play, run, ride, laugh and giggle making new friends and lasting memories. Our children, know Moms and Dads remember their childhood while they unplug knowing their children are happy and safe. We all look forward to coming around the corner and seeing the herd on the hill with the backdrop of the chapel as the worries and the stresses of life evaporate even just for a few days.

We bought into the R Ranch around 7 years ago. We wanted to give our grandchildren the freedom that we experienced growing up. The property is gated and background checks are done on all potential owners. The children tend to move in small herds. It is not uncommon to see a group of children ranging from 2-15 year olds together. Everyone knows each other and looks out for the children. We originally utilized the RV area. After a few years we decided to adopt a cabin in Chapel Hill. These are rustic cabins that are original to the ranch that are serviced by two communal bath houses. They are cute little 12x16 A frames. Because of a decline in ownership over the lean years the cabins fell into a state of disrepair. They are available to owners for “adoption”. This program allows you to pick a cabin, renovate it at your cost, and have sole use of the cabin for a period of 10+/- years. Where else can you get a second home in the north Georgia mountains with a pool and horseback riding and a wonderful sense of community for around $250 a month? R Ranch is a vacation resort. YOU CANNOT LIVE HERE. However, depending on the season you can stay for 2-3 weeks at a time and there is no limit on how many times you can visit. The Ranch had experienced some deferred maintenance in years past. We have good people in place on our board and leading our committees who are addressing improvements. We also have a strong volunteer base of owners who give of their time talent and funds to assist the staff in projects. We are a family and take pride in our ownership of this beautiful area we have chosen to invest in. Come take a tour. And mention my name!! I might win a t-shirt for bringing a new owner in!!

The R-ranch is our home away from home. We have made so many great friendships here. We were “RV people” for most of our ten years and now we have adopted a tiny cabin. Our kids have grown up here riding horses, playing in the creek, hiking, chasing waterfalls all over the area, swimming in the pool, helping at our annual rodeo and attending all of the big events! I can’t imagine life without the R Ranch. One favorite memory was our “eclipse party” at the pool. Tons of kids were able to skip school that day so we can put on our glasses and experience the eclipse at the R Ranch pool together. It was so fun! Family time spent here=priceless!

I’m a new owner and this place is absolute heaven to me! The girls at the office as well as my favorite guy there……James are all really nice and helpful. Love the crew at the stables, Herb, Lindsay, Megan, McKenna . My favorite parts of my visits up there are the trail rides, the amazing scenery and meeting all the wonderful owners.

We love camping at the Ranch! Quiet, friendly and safe. Variety of sites allows for being close or far from neighbors so anyone can find what they like. We enjoy the Horseback riding and our dogs love taking walks around the lakes. We can get to Dahlonega / shopping in 15 minutes and the scenery is amazing!
