Very beautiful area near Black mountain quiet place to get cozy and relax. The management was excellent and helped us newbies to the RV life get our 40 foot rig into tight quarters. Thank you for your accommodations as at the time many people were flooding north from Florida to evacuate from hurricane Dorian there were no facilities any where for tired travelers running from potential devastation but we found this one spot and the manager helped out beautifully!
I had to come from out of town due to an unexpected death in my family. Rick hooked me up with one of his cabins, and welcomed my dogs with no hesitation. He was extremely friendly and accommodating. The cabin was very neat, clean, and super cute. Will definitely return, when I am in the area visiting family!
We had the best 1 week stay . The owner Rick was so kind. He stopped by everyday to make sure we were ok and to see if we needed anything. Never met an owner of a campground that was so eager to please their guests. The sights were tight but surprisingly very quiet . We will definitely be back our next trip to Georgia .
Loved our stay here. The owners are fantastic and the location is perfect if you’re looking to explore the area! The 55+ community makes it very relaxing here :)
We stayed at Cross Creek for three months during the summer of 2022 in a 40' motorhome. Our site backed up to the Stekoa Creek. We enjoyed our stay there. The owners Rick & Linda were pleasant and helpful. The bathrooms and showers were clean and heated. We occasionally hiked the Black Rock Mountain State park trails, and enjoyed our near, daily walks up the steep and challenging paved/ rock road that starts at the base of Black Rock Mountain, that begins across US 441 from the campground. There are a few other enjoyable and less steep walks starting at the campground on Playhouse Street. We're glad we found this campground and were able to stay for an extended period during the summer.
