So I’ve had fantastic experiences until recently. We had some family from out of town stay with us a couple of weeks ago in a cabin. My nieces mother had never been to Timber Ridge before and was leaving to go to town. Well due to the inadequate signage she went up the hill from the cabins towards the office. Yes that is a one way street, but as I have stated, it was inadequately marked. She was immediately stopped by the office personnel and told if she drive out that way again, she would be fined $150. First, mistakes happen and are exacerbated when signage is inadequate. Second, how about a bit of southern hospitality and compassion. It was her first time ever visiting the community, and may well be her last because of the rudeness of the staff. Third, good luck enforcing your fines on me or my family. I can promise that won’t happen. It’s very easy to get turned around and not know which way to go. Especially when the staff does nothing by asking questions and offering information about where to go and the flow of traffic. We have stayed several times and I can promise you, I’ve never been shown the flow of traffic by anyone, I had to just figure it out.

No security can be reached at night to handle loud family's with screaming kids close to midnight. Chlorine tablets exposed in all pools including the baby pool. Kids were not allowed to be kids in the pool. No spashing, no going under the rope, no jumping in. It's mainly the elderally running the pools etc. They don't know how to react to kids.

I can not begin to tell you how AMAZING the staff is here, Lisa at the desk was a BLESSING. You never really have to leave the grounds if you want a a quite get away.. or Helen is right around the corner.. I would definitely check this BEAUTIFUL sanctuary out.

Been going here for years. Michelle and Lisa are so pleasant to deal with. Quiet place during the week . Bring your own canoe kayak and fishing gear. Panfish, bass, catfish are all there. Horse rides, dog park, hiking and more
