The hike wasn't bad, easier than hiking Yonah in my opinion. The views were okay.
Parking is free. The trail is relatively short, about 3 km total (out and back, not a loop), but in the winter it’s quite hard as there are big rocks all the way through that one has to step on and all of them were covered in ice when we were there, so extra caution is needed as some parts of the trail get very slippery. Hiking boots and poles are recommended. The view from the top is absolutely gorgeous. An other advantage of this trail is that we barely met anyone so it’s not a high traffic one.
Trail is well-blazed but the first 3/4 mile is almost entirely uphill - believe my GPS said 694ft elevation. I hit trailhead on a Saturday am at 9am, maybe 5 other people I passed or passed me. I continued along the Ridgeline, away from others. Great overlooks for hammocks, camping - but, fair amount of bear scat around - so be alert - some high grasses can hide them. Traffic on the way down was pretty crowded with people going up and coming down. Surprisingly, parking wasn't bad. No water sources along this hike, so be prepared.
