About Campground

Timberline Glamping blends the adventure of camping with the luxury of a great hotel.

We are nestled in the lush, wooded, heart of picturesque Unicoi State Park, a 1,050-acre state park with a 53-acre Lake, just 2 miles from Helen, GA, in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains, and on the edge of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.

Our deluxe safari tents are up to 384 square feet of designer rustic luxury, can accommodate up to 8 people and 2 dogs, have their own heating and air conditioning units, ceiling fans, a mini fridge, a Keurig coffee machine and electrical outlets for all your devices. Each tent has 1-2 deluxe king or queen sized beds, 1-2 sets of bunk beds and floor space for up to 2 of our additional folding memory foam twin sized mattresses...all linen included.

Your site comes with a wood burning fire pit, a clean picnic table, a wood deck with deck chairs, 2 hammocks and exterior string lights.

This is the kind of luxury glamping you've have been seeing in travel shows and magazines for years. With miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, water falls, a river and lake, a beach with a variety of watersports, a zip line course, classes in fly fishing, archery and ax throwing, 2 restaurants, free shuttles from tent to town and more, it’s not hard to understand why this gorgeous spot is quickly becoming the most sought after place to stay near the charming Bavarian mountain village of Helen, GA.

We had such a memorable glamping experience as a family. It is something my kids won’t forget. Planning to make it an annual event. The quality of the tent, beds, and equipment far exceeded our expectations. We rented the kitchen gadgets and grill as an add-on and it was all very useful. We also added the games box and we really enjoyed those. There were several that were new to our family which was fun. We really loved the string lights. The ambiance was really cool. The only thing we would have liked was a flat sheet on the bunk beds. So you may want to bring your own if you want a sheet under the blanket. Other than that it is very well equipped and very comfortable. We loved our stay.

We celebrated our 3rd annual Glampsgiving in Unicoi and loved every bit of it! The camping area was quaint and the areas around were great for adventures and exploring. And just a short trip to Helen to grab food and fun. Great experience and surroundings!

This was a fantastic experience for our family. We have 3 small children and they had a blast.

We purchased the kids boxes (extra fee) and they loved the little toys that came with them for nature-related fun.

The attendant was amazing. I asked about where to order firewood but she said they don't offer that option at the site we stayed at. However, she had an extra bag of her own that she brought by our tend and left inside while we were out in town having dinner.

I could not have asked for a more special weekend. We were blessed with beautiful weather. The campsite was peaceful, clean and, close to everything. We enjoyed walking the trail by the lake, zip lining, riding the shuttle bus from Unicoi Lodge into Helen and cooking out hobo packs outdoors by the fire pit. We stayed warm inside the tent with the heated mattress pads and enjoyed reading underneath the magnificent colors of the fall leaves! A big Thanks to Ivy and her excellent communication and hospitality during our stay!
