Primitive campground off of Gum Slough...beautiful paddling!
Beautiful spot. Free, plenty of space , Beautiful river view with tables. Worth going.
Nice primitive area... No running water but how else do you fish and eat, campfire 🔥. Love the scenery 💗
Great spot for camping. Not many people so it’s peaceful and quiet. Saw owls, woodpecker and ibis. There are 15 miles of hiking trails here maintained by the Florida Trail Association. I took the orange blaze trail from the north side of the furthest camping area. It was just mowed and fallen trees cleared as of Jan. 20, 2024.
