Found this place by accident but its reputation precedes it. We were camping in the area and found the spot to be clean, simple, and peopled by good folks.

Obviously, nature is the draw and it's nice that they respect that. however, they do have a number of facilities, and there's been a few constructions that crowd the water, leaving little room for the calm observation of nature.

I added a couple of nearby photos from the same area, but just around the corner

We camped on the river side with our young kids. We bought some live bait from the bait shop and fished right off the back of our site. I caught my first snook and it was quite impressive to say the least! The dolphins and manatees are plentiful and put on quite the show! Booking process was easy and staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We're already talking about a next time!

We just completed a 4-night stay in our camper over the New Year's holiday. We stayed in site 10, which was perfect for us. The campground was full, and the sites were a bit close to each other, but everyone was friendly and considerate. We brough our two pups, there is plenty of green space for walking them. There were small docks on the canal side and a large fishing pier on the riverside. The baitshop had lots to offer in terms of snacks, hats, live bait, soft plastics, and beverages. It was very peaceful, lots of stars in the night sky. We even caught a rocket launch! Our son enjoyed his time fishing and shrimping.

The view from the river front sites was amazing; waking up to dolphins and seagulls was beautiful. Site 34. We also saw several manatees from the dock. Our boys enjoyed renting a fishing pole the first day, then decided to buy one for the rest of the week. They really enjoyed casting from several places around the campground. The staff were excellent, warm and welcoming. Very nice, clean, well maintained campground in a area close to many activities/attractions!
