Had a great time exploring Lakawanna State Park. I recently moved here from New York City and miss the park that I had near my apartment.

With all the trails, lake, dam, and picnic areas, I am sure to make this a regular haunt.

One of my favorite places to kayak. Also had dinner nice trails for hiking. Not too bad for camping.

Short drive to an awesome location, lake very clean and not crowded. RECOMMEND to stop and watch for the Bald eagles. Saw this one hover and then dive, scoop a fish and eat it up in tree...

Went from Meadowsweet preserve on walk with my wife and went clear to park and back with help from those who frequent as trails connect and much shorter than road from Waverly to State Park. Pleasant genre of folk there daily who gladly offer experience of joining trails.. Pride of our region and great picnic location AS LONG AS YOU RESPECT and no litter because nature cared for there.. Was lovely..
