Pennsylvania has dumb rules. On the website, it said no washing dishes or hands at the camp site. We asked a Ranger about it, and he called Jamestown office, and they said just to do it at campsite.
Site it's self was on a hill covered with leaves and had hanging branches (widow makers) right over only flat area. They have 4 bathroom locations with 4 shower/bathroom. The dumb part is that if you use a shower, it eliminates a toilet. There are too many sites for 16 bathrooms and showers total. There were lines for bathrooms in the morning and after dinner time.
Bottom line Pennsylvania side of Pymatuning Lake sux.
Quiet, shady, large campground, great for families. There is a beach, a small camp store and many playgrounds. The bathrooms were all single toilets with a shower in each stall, which caused lines, all day.
The campground is awesome and has beautiful views. It has its own beach access, boat launch, fishing dock, and playground. There are bathrooms located around the park. The bathrooms & showers are private rooms which is nice IMO. We stayed at a tenting site that was waterfront and the view was beautiful. We fished right from our campsite. Would definitely camp here again!
Some of these sites have all hookups. Others do not. Many bathrooms in different locations. Some non-powered sites are close to the water. You can dock your boat overnight for $8 resident and $11 non-resident of pennsylvania.
