Parker’s landing was one of our favorite stops on our long family vacation. We stopped there first and least on our way from and to Florida. We are a 42” 5th wheel, so some of the spots would have been a little tight- however the staff did a great job finding us perfect spots. The river is a beautiful view. Very kid and dog friendly!
Nice enough grounds, although there isn’t any kind of regular maintenance. It is still tidy enough to be able to set up and enjoy yourself.
Despite other comments about the bathroom facilities, they are clean and well managed. However, there’s no cold water. You will take a hot/extra warm shower no matter what time of day you’re in there. *I do know how to adjust the temperature control; it just doesn’t respond. The old guy who cleans them is a little peculiar, not what you might consider a “kid friendly” personality.
The laundry facilities are laughably priced. The dryers were costly enough that I just took my washed belongings to a laundromat to dry them.
The front desk is manned by two old ladies. One is incredibly funny and social. The other, not so much. She is pretty business oriented.
The vast majority of the lots are filled full time with people who either are terrible with other humans, or divorced men with drinking problems.
Some of the old ones are living by the grace of pharmaceuticals, and they tend to be foul creatures who consider themselves tough. It’s an odd experience if they have conversations with you. And they will have conversations with you, no matter how hard you try to stay to yourself. *I was informed that the state of Mississippi has outlawed camping in tents. So if you’re there for that purpose you’ll have 3days/nights and then you have to leave. All sites have water/electric. The rv pads have sewage as well. Plenty of consistent upkeep in specific area. Lots of other areas are just dying in front of them. They have the familiar rules and regulations regarding pets.
I stayed at the tent area twice in two weeks. I was fine, by and large. $112 for each stay. Wouldn’t do it again. The full-timers are just a god awful group of curmudgeons with money and a taste for Trump-esque conversation with matching personalities. Lots of others just do not socialize and won’t be a bother.
We would never stay at this place again. Pads were broken and tree limbs were everywhere. They tried to put us in a very tight spot with a huge mud hole. We finally asked them to move us and they did but we’re reluctant to do it.
Decent place and reasonable pricing, lot pricing included water and electric with exception of extra use of water, must pay extra to have guests at pool and the laundry cost is in my opinion too much. laundromat pricing actually is cheaper. No play area for kids. Boat launch around the corner. Wifi is not reliable.
First time RVers. They were great. Told them we were new, they put us in a great spot. Were always checking on us as they were making rounds. Any questions we had the were there to answer. All the guest were great. So helpful. In my opinion the grounds looked great. There are a lot of oak trees so there's alot of leaves. Read a comment about standing water. When we pulled up the was standing water. By morning it was gone. You are in south Mississippi, after it storms there is gonna be standing water.
