Love this Fam Camp. You can here trains but they are not very close. It’s clean, run by great people and the laundry room is nice. Really enjoyed our stay

Great option for military families. Great daily rate. Shower house could use a little sprucing up. Felt safe in campground area. Quiet. Playground would be great addition but there is a park right down the street.

Let me first say it pains me to write this review. We were there 6 months and for the majority of time we were pleased with most things with the exception of the routinely very high grass. We killed three water moccasins and this concerned us but we just stayed vigilant.

The concerns we had came about during the last month and a half of our stay. We lost our camp host and his wife and we noticed the sanitation in the bathrooms became terrible. No one was cleaning the bathrooms at all.

We were saddened that a RV park that served the military could be allowed to be kept in such a poor state of cleanliness. The problem seems to be the very young people that are employed to oversee this very important operation. The staff seem unconcerned about complaints and are never seen cleaning the facilities. They are also very reluctant to assist in the day to day business functions of the park. Playing on their cell phone seems to be their priority.

I would hope that in the future changes are made to allow for a cleaner more enjoyable experience.

Also as a note, be careful of the water pressure and always use a reducer. The pressure is very high.

Update: Returned for the summer and nothing has changed. Prices went up with no benefit to the camper. The camp host and his wife still play silly kindergarten games but I’ve never once seen them clean the bathhouse or any of the grounds. Bathhouses are disgusting. Favoritism is rampant, there are different rules for different people. Example; the camp host and others have been here for 10 month in the last year. I feel the only reason he does the camp host job is for the freebies. This position is useless with the current people in the role.

Rule number one on the rule board makes perfect sense, first come first served. They voided that rule by taping over it so they could pick and choose where everyone goes. The office staff do everything possible to be petty and excel at one thing, playing on their cell phone and being obstinate.

After moving back over to Shields in Gulfport it is so nice to experience staff that work hard to maintain the park and clean the bathhouses. It is so comforting to be back in a campground that is well managed and maintained.
