From Gulfport, MS, at the intersection of I-10 and State Rt. 49, take Rt. 49 north 9.3 miles to Big Biloxi sign (DeSoto Park Rd.). Turn left onto De Soto Park Rd. and go 0.5 miles to campground sign. Turn left into campground.
Really liked this campground, nice little hiking trail, privacy, not crowded, affordable, water and electric hookup The bathrooms were really run down and the shower had a lot of bugs.
Nice quiet and close to everything. There is no host right now. We would consider that. We are here every winter. The dump station is out of order. Someone needs to offer this park a little TLC. We'll keep coming back 😀
Awesome campground. They have electrical and water hookups, fire pits with grill, as well as BBQ pit. Also you still feel as if your in the woods and not an RV parking lot. Been here about a dozen times over the years and it's always a very relaxed atmosphere with no crowds. Only drawback I've experienced is the road runs very close to 3 of the sites.
Was evacuated from fear of flooding which it did not . No time to get all my beautiful camping gear, food nothing. All of it was stolen by freaks living in the woods across from the entrance gate. Not safe. Police there consistently looking for apparently people that hide out there camping. Had to clean a few sights where people ran from the police and vacated leaving trash everywhere not to mention drug paraphernalia and dirty needles behind. I cleaned a few so I wouldn't have to look at it and so the possums, raccoons and varmints wouldn't decide to visit me too!. Hot showers however. Electricity and water at campsites.
