This is not a family friendly campground. The website makes this place look great and maybe at some point it was, but not anymore. The place has trash everywhere and the pool doesnt look like it has worked in years. Continue on I-20 E for about 5 minutes and stay at the KOA. Very friendly and great pool, clean facilities.

We drove 200 miles to see this campground today after looking at the website. We found a totally run down campground. The campsites were covered with tree limbs and garbage. It was obvious that the place had been abandoned for a very long time. What a waste of time to drive 400 miles for such a disappointment! I had to check one star in order to post this review.

Pros: The lady working there is really nice. Woodsy feeling rustic place. Very quiet (no partiers or loud music). Clean enough restroom.

Cons: It USE to be a really cute place. There is nothing cute about it now. The pool is a safety hazard with part of the fence knocked down and the green murky water. The playground is a rusty old swing. No toilet paper in the bathrooms. (or soap or hand towels) It's as if one day they decided "to heck with maintenance" and just stopped caring. It's also very near a train track so the late night Amtrak trains were a lot of fun. I would not stay here again. The only reason I gave it that 2nd star is because it was quiet and safe. I won't go into the feral cat population though or I'd have to take a star back.

Worst place ever to stay. The lady that owns it is a you know what! There is a alcohol that lives there always causing problems. The lot beside me has a bad water and sewage leak and no one is willing to fix it. There is no pool you'll spend $10 trying to figure out which washer and dryers actually work. The law enforcement are always in and out. You can tell that the man who owned it had it to be a really nice place. The lady now is trashy and doesn't even have the grass cut. I've even push mowed the entire pave before it looked so bad. The prices are unreasonable and it's not worth your stay. Look elsewhere!
