We love it here. It's so peaceful and quiet. Lots of shade and a couple cool places to fish. Owner very friendly and fair. Neighbors stick to themselves pretty much. Just an over all nice place to be out of the hustle of town but still close enough to get to places pretty quickly.
Such a peaceful and beautiful park! Loved being on the water and all the shade trees!
Overall, what does a camper want? A safe place with electric water , sewage, nature and privacy. This place offers all that . I felt completely safe staying there with my family. I have only two complaints. The owner only takes cash or check. Kind of behind the times. He also showed up right to my RVs doorstep at 8:47 PM at night unannounced and wanted payment. That was not a good idea. Lastly they have a laundry room that is $15 per week. great deal but not so much if you’re staying there for one or two nights. Overall not a bad experience.

I stayed from July of 2019 through November of 2020 with my wife and 2 dogs. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and had a great spot on the River. Plenty of squirrels for my dogs to watch out the windows and I surprisingly never saw any water moccasins. Plenty of turtles and birds though. The campground is kept clean and maintained throughout the year. Most of the folks seem to be permanent residents and all are respectful and helpful. Good fishing in the creek and I saw multiple kayakers floating down as well. Tornado Shelter on site was a little small but it makes you feel better knowing it’s there during the MS storm season.
We came to Columbus, Mississippi for a few months this winter to be near family residing across the line in Alabama. This is our first time RVing full time, too, so we wanted a place that was less rigid on the rules, had low population and more of a quiet park vs one with a lot of amenities and perks. We were more interested in a place where we could learn the rv lifestyle at our speed and iron out those newbie wrinkles without irritating our neighbors. We found all this and more at Hidden Cove RV Park on Sand Road, Columbus, Mississippi.
Hidden Cove RV Park is located outside Columbus, MS city limits. The property is away from the city hustle & bustle but just a 5 minute drive to the main travel veins connecting the country to this location. In fact, there is a Loves Truck Stop sign visible at night through the winter trees off in the distance.
Hidden Cove RV park is off the main road a bit, nested back in a wooded area along the Luxapalila Creek. The sites are mapped out nicely with each lot having enough space to stretch out but not be all into your neighbors’ business. There are some spots closer together along the riverbank but the lots further away from the water edge have more “breathing room” between lots.
The lots each have full hookup including fresh water, black/grey tank dump and electric. Electric hook up for 20/30/50amp available throughout the park. Be sure to specify what amp you need when calling to inquire. Not all lots are set up for all three. We have seen travel trailers, 5th Wheel, Toy Hauler and Class A in all shapes and sizes. We see Solitude, Grand Design, Monaco, Keystone and more.
Nightly, weekly & monthly rates are available. In fact, the monthly rate is very reasonable. We’ve been here for 1 month and just paid for another. That should speak volumes of this park. We are not bougie campers and don’t need all the frills at high end parks. We are quiet people who enjoy sitting outside and enjoying the peaceful life RVing is known for. We feel blessed our first full time RV adventure is here at Hidden Cove!
Important Side Note: There is another Hidden Cove Campground owner managing 2 sites in southern Mississippi along the gulf and 1 Alabama location. This is not the same Hidden Cove operation in Columbus Mississippi. No affiliation, separate owners. We are seeing some reviews for this campground that don’t match the amenities/services offered or not offered. It would be a huge help to business owners to have their reviews landed be about the correct locations. :)
