You know it saddens me to believe a man of color can not go to this park without the Ranger's making him out to look like the bad guy. The Ranger's are just like police and some how these individuals stereotype men of color.

I am a photographer and I've been coming to this beautiful lake for over a year, never caused a problem and did my shoots at this lake and left without any incident. But my last two visits have not been good ones and now it's getting to the point I feel the rangers are acting in a harassing manner.

The first time I did not really pay too much attention to it when the pulled up to see what we were doing. Which was told to them we are doing a shoot, they drove off and stop over cross the lake and watched us. They took our friend license plate down as well. What was the point for this? today I am out there again with another model and they come up asking what we are doing and charged us for being there even though we were not camping. Then they call them selves slick calling a sheriff deputy to act like he was there with family and during the whole time the deputy is staring me down. Did you charge him to be where I was? I am always kind and respectful to law enforcement, but this has left a bad impression on me when it comes to this lake that I've come to love.

I guess my only suggestion would be is if you are a black man, Hispanic, mixed couple just be careful out there. There is no telling what could happen out there at this lake with Ranger with badges that may or may not be racist. A racist does not belong behind a badge.

Please be advised this is what I've experienced at this lake and I've expressed my opinion about some of the things that went on while visiting this lake. I just felt I needed to bring this to light ... You dont know what's going on unless you tell it!!!
