From I-5 take exit 230 and go West on Hwy 20, take the Oak Harbor – Deception pass exit. North Whidbey RV Park is located one mile South of Deception Pass Bridge, on Highway 20. From the North, turn left on Cornet Bay Road at the stop light near the main entrance to Deception Pass State Park. Approximately one block on the right is the entrance to our park.
Epic location with multiple hiking trails, great facilities and well taken care of grounds. Super friendly hosts, met us at our vehicle and even brought us some ice.
Will surely be back soon.
I found this place kind of by accident. The sites are amazing. The atmosphere is what you would want for an RV campground. I loved it so much thst I've camped there 4 times this season and can't wait to go back next season.
Before you book, ask to see rules, fines, and extra charges. $10 for early in or late out. All charged to your card without notice. $50 for wrong turns on one way layout. All charges paid on booking. No refund. Parking for tow vehicles is dirt, poorly lit. Couldn't see the parking lines. A call to move our tow vehicles would have sufficed. The nasty note on the window unnecessary. Poor spotty wifi. Etc e
Receipt shows charge for 1/2 hour early arrival fine charged before I could walk to the office. Parking lot pics show line problems. It is even harder to tell the lines after dark.
North Whidbey is perfectly located across the road from Deception Pass State Park. We walked across the road to the Quarry Pond section of the park and then took the trail to North Beach at Deception Pass. The RV park is also conveniently located for traveling the islands in the Pugent Sound.
The RV park has the most friendly and helpful staff!! The park rules are enforced so you can feel safe and have a nice visit. The facilities are super clean and well maintained. The sites are blacktop with grass in-between. As far as the rates, they are comparable to other RV parks. They do offer discounts like AAA (maybe others), and if you stay at least two weeks on the same site, you get a reduced rate on top of your AAA discount. Electric is additional for long-term stays.
The cell service is not good. It depends on your cellphone provider.
Yes, there is US Navy jet noise periodically day or night.
Overall, we love North Whidbey RV Park.
It is a large park with trees scattered throughout. Most spots are large enough for a large trailer and a small car. Others are large enough for trucks and trailers. There is usually ample parking in the parking lot, though, the weekends can be tricky at times. Water and power are consistent. The dog park is a nice, fenced off area for dogs to run and play. The staff are kind and courteous. It is also RIGHT next to Deception Pass. There is a gas station and a minimal very close by as well. It is about 10 miles to get to Oak Harbor from North Whidbey RV Park.
Cell reception (through AT&T) is kind of lacking in this area.
