San Juan County Parks provides beautiful shoreline parks on the ferry-served San Juan Islands. Campgrounds offer waterfront campsites, beach access & scenic views and accommodate tents and smaller RV's (no hook-ups; check for restrictions) for a unique "island” experience. Restrooms, picnic tables, fire-rings, picnic shelters, boat ramps.
Odlin County Park is just one mile from the Lopez Island Ferry Landing, and three miles from Lopez Village. This 80-acre waterfront park features 8 campsites, a lovely sandy beach, a boat launch, hiking trails, a full-sized ball field and several picnic areas. Enjoy a hike or eat lunch in the picnic pavilion. There is also water, toilets, five mooring buoys and a day use dock.
Located on the north shore of Lopez Island, just south of Upright Head.
Amazing campground with ocean viewing spots. Although very basic, the restrooms were very clean during our entire stay.
Location is very convenient. Located only a mile from the ferry and couple more from the charming Lopez town.
We had a great time and hope to come back in the future.
The only downside is that I wish there was a playground for the little kids, but one can see it make them appreciate and explore nature more, so I don't necessarily see it as a negative thing.
Odlin park is a great place for both children and adults as well as dogs.
It has clean facilities, a softball field, plenty of picnic benches, a great beach to walk on and 2 piers to walk out onto to examine marine life below each pier.
Lots of sealife to view and great sound views also.
This is a great day use and overnight camping area, and is close to the ferry terminal.
I stayed this campsite for 4 nights 5 days. The campsite I was able to book has limited view of ocean and it's high location compared to sea level. So I didn't have direct access to ocean. But regardless, my booked site was end of campsite. So relatively less traffic of cars and people. Only hope in future of this campsite is to have shower facility. I brought portable shower, portable standing tent to get a shower at the campsite this time. I went out ocean at 3 places at Lopez. Just outside from this Odlin State Park was one of them. I enjoyed a lot at "slowpez island" stay at Labor Day weekend.
Great kid friendly beach. There was some seaweed / sea grass all the shore that you’d have to muck through but otherwise was great. Kids took the paddle boards out and had a blast.
