Nice and clean campground. The location is good for seeing all the sites.
The staff seems friendly enough, but seem to be watching for rule infractions. There are extra fees for visitors and an extra vehicle. The laundry is the most expensive we've had on our trip across the U.S.
It was after school opened. The pool and jumping pillow was closed. But the large playground was great fun for my 4yr old granddaughter. The glide swings were fun and relaxing. The office had limited hours so we had trouble finding someone to ask questions to.
Unpleasant Experience at Burlington KOA
I recently had the misfortune of staying at Burlington KOA and my experience was marred by the incredibly rude customer service I encountered. From the beginning of my stay, the staff's lack of professionalism and courtesy was evident.
Upon check-in, I was met with a dismissive attitude from the receptionist, who seemed uninterested in providing any assistance other than to charge for use of the bathroom. Throughout my stay, attempts to seek help or clarification were met with impatience and condescension from the staff members. It was disheartening to be treated so poorly, especially considering the fees paid for the RV site.
The rude behavior of the customer service staff greatly impacted my overall enjoyment of my time at Burlington KOA. It is deeply disappointing to have such a negative experience at a place that is supposed to be about relaxation and enjoyment. I hope that the management of Burlington KOA takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue promptly. Visitors deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy, and the current state of customer service at this establishment falls far below acceptable standards.
Rude management, she sold us mini golf tickets and then made two big men from her staff kick us out, no warning, or explanation right before we finished the last hole. When we asked for clarification she hid behind the counter and the two poor volunteers were embarrassed. Turns out she thought she does this on a daily basis to campers with no warning.. She is a disgrace! made my toddler cry out of embarrassment as we were escorted out of the property, turns out she thought we were visitors and not campers, no apology offered because she doesn't speak English???I would have taken an apology on any Language. Well we left the place and never coming back.
This place is just minutes off off interstate 81. I was surprised how quiet it was in the evening. I was the only one having a fire. Unfortunately it wasn't much of a vacation since I spent most of the time troubleshooting some issues with the RV, but it was nice just the same, and the girl in the office helped me the morning I had to leave and my slides would not retract.......... I definitely recommend this campground for whatever your needs might be.
