FROM I-5, EXIT 231: Follow SR 11/Chuckanut Dr. 14 miles North to main park entrance. RVs and vehicles towing trailers must use Exit 250 due to extremely narrow roadway with no shoulders.
We had a great time here even on a cold windy day. We came at low tide and found starfish. There were tide pools and alot of sea life on the rocks.
A vacation to Bellingham isn’t complete without a visit to Larrabee State Park. Every time I go I discover new natural beauty. On this visit I took the new trail and bridge to Clayton Beach. It was a great spot for a walk with tide pools, sandstone formations, and old pier remnants.
A favorite place for hiking and beach exploration. Trails and parking are along both sides of the road. Beachfront is rugged and fascinating. Many nooks and crannies to explore at this park! Restrooms, picnic areas, camping, too.
Awesome State Park! And stunning tide pools! The whole state park is a great place to bring the family or friends I'm just explore around the area. I'll definitely come back to the spot again. Camping might be a little rough with the trains going by, just hope you're a deep sleeper 😉
I love the short walk to Clayton Beach. Lots of easy parking, discover pass required. They have done a lot of improvements to the trail and it’s about a 10 minute easy walk to access the beach.
There are bathrooms at the parking lot.
