About Campground

Manitou Lodge, perfectly situated Forks Washington accommodations, provides guest rooms, cabins, and camping on ten acres of coastal rainforest, just 3 miles from Rialto Beach, and 15 minutes west of Forks. Manitou is what a lodge should be – wood, stone, a Great Room with a massive stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and furniture you can put your feet up on. Nights in our forest are silent except for the distant rush of the Sol Duc River and occasional interruptions by coyotes and owls. Stay in a choice of Washington coast lodging including lodge guest rooms, cottage rooms, rustic cabins, and camping. Please note we are unable to provide Breakfast service at this time.

This will become our annual camping spot! It's a nice camp ground. I felt safe just me and my little. Close to a lot of beaches and close to Forks. I did read that there was a pool. Which I did not see, unless it was very well hidden. Also check was just a text to a phone number, not my favorite. I would ha e preferred in person check in, and maybe a map of the camp ground

Say hi to Olympus the mouse and his friends. Field mouse are common but if you're running a 'luxury lodge' and experience, then you need to do a better job of rat proofing the doors and entrances. I wouldn't use any plates, cups, kurig because the mice/rats were running all over everything throughout the night. Didn't get any rest or relaxation. It's pretty obvious this isn't a one off thing based on the droppings in the corners. Was sneezing and itching as soon as I got on the bed because of the dust (or something) in the sheets.

Where do I even start! I booked a stay here for a brief visit with my parents who flew in from Virginia. I wanted to have access to both the coast, as well as a good launch pad for an early morning excursion into the Ho Rainforrest, as I was hoping to beet the crowds. I wanted somewhere locally run (as I prefer supporting local when I can) and somewhere memorable.

This lodge exceeded any and all expectations I had. It was peaceful, even when fully booked. And the owner/operator lives on site and is incredibly responsive and supportive as a host.

We had a last minute planned power outage and I became concerned due to my mother needing medical devices at night. Not only was the host completely empathetic towards my concerns, but assured me that he was available any time of night should an emergency arise. Lanterns and flashlights were provided, and clear instructions and guidelines on how to navigate during the outage.

The power outage ended being basically a non-issue, and the rest of the trip went off without a hitch!

To address some of the concerns I’ve seen in other reviews:

- there are security cameras present on the property. They make no attempt to hide this, and at NO TIME did I feel my privacy was being invaded. If anything I felt secure knowing that the property was being monitored.

- the lodge space is a shared. The rooms are private, but the common area is shared. Again, this is not hidden, and is clearly stated in the booking. It offered a chance to connect with your fellow travelers, and if you really want privacy, the grounds are plenty large to spread out on.

- I found the rooms to be in incredible condition and immaculate. There was clearly attention to detail, and everything was very well thought out.

- this is a historical building. It is not the modern spa retreat that I think a lot of people build up in their mind. It’s magical, quiet, and unique. If you want luxury resort amenities, go find a luxury resort to stay in.

- at no time did I ever feel the host was difficult to get a hold of. Response times were ten minutes or less, and any concerns I had were addressed immediately.

- the lodge is on a reservation, on one of the most isolated peninsulas in the united state. There are dining options in Forks, and an awesome burger place up the road. But this is also clearly stated on the website, so plan your meals accordingly. This is a place for solitude and retreat, not night life.

I’m only sorry I didn’t write this review sooner! I cannot recommend this lodge enough. I plan on booking a stay for March and look forward to sharing this space with my sister.

We had a really lovely stay in the Cedar Suite. The Lodge is delightful, cozy, and full of interesting things, including games and books. To sit on the back or front porches and watch the rainfall was magical. Beds were comfortable. We went to Waters Edge in La Push for supper and The In Place in Forks for breakfast. This Lodge is a place with character and charm. Do not expect Ramada or Hilton or other generic hotel amenities. This is a unique experience, close to amazing beach and rainforest hikes. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely three night stay over the New Year weekend! The manager was accessible by text and responded quickly. The housekeeper was kind and quick to answer questions. We were in the Cedar suite, which was spacious, clean, and perfect for our needs. Our two dogs were welcomed, which was a main draw of us choosing this place. We were far enough away from the highway/towns that it was peaceful and quiet, even for the holiday, but close enough that we got to explore many of the nearby sights!

Beautiful place to unwind and unplug for a while (but there is WiFi that worked well!).
