What a great find on Lopez Island! The trail to the beach was beautiful. Opens up to view of Frost Island. Bike and Kayak rentals available, too!

There was a large logjam along the whole shoreline, except the marsh area. It looked very old as the wood was already white-washed. Not sure if the accumulation of logs is from years of storms or previous logging activity as visitor center was closed during my visit.

Spencer Spit State Park offers serene beauty, perfect for quiet beach walks and camping. Nature’s tranquility at its best in Washington.

Nice campground with really friendly and helpful camp hosts. The beach isn’t super great for swimming but it’s still fun. The bathrooms are clean. We had a great time and loved exploring the island. Cell service is super spotty to non-existent on the whole island but on the left of the spit you can get the best service. This was important for me as I was camping with kids and extended family but my husband was at home.

Stayed at the walk in/bike in camp sites. Right down on the beach. Large camp sites with picnic tables and a fire pit/BBQ area. Quiet. Gets the morning sun but shady later. A pit toilet and fresh water is available. Pay station is located down here.

Morning visit to the park gave us fabulous scenery with mist over the water. The path from the parking area down to the beach was fairly smooth but watch your step around roots and rocks
